Salwa Owens

Salwa Owens is a fashion entrepreneur and CEO of SNO couture, Ltd.
Her passion for fashion, international business, and empowering 
women are the leading forces behind her brand. Salwa earned a BBA in 
International Business from The University of Georgia, a minor in 
French from the Institut de Touraine in France, and completed post-
graduate studies in Fashion Design at The Fashion Institute of Design & 
Merchandising in Los Angeles.   
A firm believer that fashion, above being an art, is a thriving force in 
global business, Salwa has grown her brand into four divisions that 
merge various aspects of the fashion industry. The first is design. Salwa 
designs her own clothing label, which has grown into, the “Salwa 
Owens” ready-to-wear line, manufactured in the USA, and “Salwa ~ The 
Gold Label,” an evening gown line, intricately handmade by a team of 
expert craftsmen in India. For the second division, Salwa has tapped 
into the fast paced world of e-commerce and launched online boutique 
“SO fierce boutique,” for which she does all the fashion buying and 
merchandising. The third division is what brings the personal element 
to the brand and that is the Salwa Owens fashion and lifestyle blog.  
Through it, not only does she strive to inspire women but also connect 
with her followers. The fourth and most recent addition to her business 
has been her self-produced fashion show “Fierce In The City. Having 
grown in a very musically involved family, Salwa decided to produce a 
show that would not only showcase fashion, but allow independent 
music artists to perform as well, and have the two come together on the 
runway.  The goal as her company grows will be to take Fierce in the 
City to a different city each year, and showcase local fashion and music 
talent combined, for a truly unique artistic experience.
